We had a wonderful discussion in advance of the NMSDC conference about the future of CW diversity with Tinisha Bookhart, Co-founder and Partner at Primary Talent Partners (PTP). PTP is certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), with a mission of being the primary source for talent for enterprise clients and their managed services providers (MSP).
As part of that mission, PTP has the vision to grow the number of Black STEM candidates in the workforce and provide them with the best job opportunities in the market. This is in no small part driven by the lived experiences of Tinisha and the other founders. As a self-identified Black woman with years of experience working in IT, Tinisha has seen firsthand how social upbringing inequalities affect higher education among Black, particularly in STEM fields. Without proper support from an early age, it can be difficult to mature Black STEM talent, which in turn becomes the workforce of the future.
Join us for a deep dive that details the ways PTP is working to truly address the gaps in Black STEM talent, highlights the impact of companies having an inwardly diverse focus, and even discussed actionable ways companies can work to begin improving their contingent workforce diversity today.
